So I am happy with my tats, to the point I’m going to create another three sheets of the connecting pieces I avoided so as to make it easier. So the side front belly and back of arms will get their coverage.

They are mostly my work. The specific idiosyncracities of line width and end points are mine for sure. But I did use some tracing of Jan’s art to get there 😉 Also they scaled down a little further due to the PDF format (I was using a 97% print of my last tats and then they scaled back 97% again. The chest and belly tats are fine, as are the main back pieces but the thigh and arms need to be a little bigger.

Also note i did not get a chance to polish my armour, But I did give it all a slight gold wash. Why? My saber hilt is a mix of gold and silver to break up the tone. And it works well for the armour too. Also note my armour is black on silver (ie my cut marks show the metal underneath not black cuts on silver) so as to better mimic the artwork.

Please please please please reblog! I need to know this is possible as I will need to reach out to a lot of people for interesting talks and panels. And wrangling minders. I will also thus be spending a lot of time on the upper levels and we can also ping to the media and other photogs so we wouldn’t be hidden away. Also I am thinking of getting an A3 printer/scanner anyway so might be able to get lots of signage up and all that.

Looking for a team to help run this puppy too 🙂 I have my eye on people but would like to offer the net wider as well 🙂

I am in post con tidy mode- aided by going back to a DMARD that didn’t really work last time but seems to be this time (Go anti-malarials!) and wanted to show it’s not the first time for warm fuzzies and that yes, every memento has been kept and treasured. And a reminder of why.

Slowly pulling out of the post con blues to put it mildly (it’s been pretty ugly- was pretty sure it would be close to a week to recover emotionally though so sort of on track : ) ). And now time to go splat, snuggle with the kitty and try out the fancy pants tisane and tea ball 🙂 

So Kylie captured exactly, I mean exactly what I meant by feeling like a mamma duck to the contestants. It’s not patronising, it’s about creating a safe space for them to be who they are but don’t anyone dare harm a hair (feather) on their heads!

And I hope no one minds sharing the contents. I still haven’t been able to read the entire thing due to All The Feels. But I think people need to know how incredibly supportive this community is and all the warm fuzzies to be had.

They are red! First flat brush then airbrush. I am so getting another at some stage with the ability to hold more paint but wow, such a difference! Luckily the can is twice as long lasting as last time as I was able to paint a fair bit and there is still heaps of propellent. But I do want a mini compressor.

Also yes, there is a missing patch but thatwill be painted solid black so it’s pointless to waste expensive ink on that! I used Latona’s as it is a little more durable on latex and will quite probably be airbrushing the tattoos on this time. I just need to cut my stensils. Not looking forward to it as the lekku curves make things not sit properly 😉 Or I could just do the sticky foam and hope I only lift off the paint underneath and not pull it all off.

Also, camera died when I took a photo this morning of paint in progress with all the talc everywhere 🙂 

Yes those red drops on the carpet are the main reason why I want a contained ink holder….

From too damp to too warm I let the workroom get too warm so I’ll need to do a bit more tidying of the lekku. I really wanted them done before Hamilton armageddon but hey.

I copied the lekku patterns to paper and then again to more paper to be able to print them off to keep in storage. I may have just enough foam to be able to make flexible stencils, or I could cut out the shapes and stick them on and trace around which would be easier if I can get them drawn in before the red and not have the alcohol wipe them away… well…

So I’ll take the patterns with me as I’m not going to be busy at all ‘eh?

Oh hello rain, again…

I am having trouble with the tidying of the lekku, mainly because it is so damp. I think there may be a pool of water under my workroom because it is super stinky. So I’ve had the heater going most of the day- it helps with the smell, helps with my joints and helps get the latex to cure.
So I am being super patient and leaving the latex well enough alone for the night and hope the thin layer of latex cures.

Meanwhile I have ruined so many ear buds…. argh! I have one beautiful one taunting me while redoing the other about three times now. And being a fairly solid layer of latex that is taking some time to cure! I knew I should have made two molds… well I may have to as the mold is finally losing definition.
But the new antena is cut and shaped ready for paint and polish and the new upper of the wrap is also cut ready to shape once the latex is cured so I can try it on. Then new wraps with a slight overlap of the buds so I can hide all the edges or just glue them in to the head wrap… hmmm….

My wrists are far to far gone to be able to pull the leather into shape for the new bikini. So I will leave that for the time being.

And I am now going to sleep. I may not get her ready for Welly at this rate, but I shall try 🙂
