Two more tattoos done
Yesterday was the chest and the belly pieces. Today it was shoulder and thigh and then funny sweeping thing under the armpit-with a fish hook. I love paths 🙂 Next up are the triangular underarm thingy and side belly, then all the back pieces. And then I get to test them in scale with each other and make a mini map and finally make a handy dandy pdf.
Oh and make the gaps between each component more obvious.

WOOOHOO!!! Published! Two days to type and I *still* have photos to insert about how I tested my paints and lots of dopey lekku photos to hunt out (the lekku full of fail).
Now I can keep working on the tattoos. Two pages done so far, 6 to go (two pages are mirrored).
Oh hey, I also have my Imperial officer uniform in the same state for printing. I wish I was able to easily tile it to convert in to PDF too. I’ve been trying to scale for sizes 8-18 as well. I think I have it now as well. Hmmm…..

no caps because my hands have reached their limit and i can only use my index finger and thumb of my right hand to type. in other words; buggerybollocks. and now that i have stopped i realise my elbows are likewise embuggerated. but trying to get more than two years r and d in to one page…. yeah. i was a tad excited and wanted to publish nowrightnow but it will have to wait a while. my lesson in this life is patience. i cling to that to try and make the pain tolerable; it is a lesson. pft. could have been a different method of teaching frankly
I DOEZ HAZ SKILLZ!!!!
With a spot of “what happens when I click here” escapades I managed to create a working path and a working path of a really complex part of the Talon Tattos so I will be able to work on them and get them really nice and smooth after all. Yay 🙂 In celebration of this I will spend the weekend working on this as opposed to going in to my workshop while I still have a sensitive nose and want to sleep every half hour 🙂 I will also use the time to work on the Cosplay Room proposal to be sent to all those who have said they would participate as well as those who don’t yet know they are being volunteered 😉
Speaking of which I need to rewrite the volunteer pack for the cosplay stream full stop and start planning for the changes in the rego forms for next year 🙂 I may be meeting with people over the next few months to make sure plans for next year are able to be known asap given we have a slightly earlier start with Dunedin and ChCh over previous years.

Just writing up my page on Darth Talon. It’s a bit nerdy. And wordy. Still need to insert images but I have only just gotten to the section on putting the darn thing on. But I know a few people have been frustrated at the lack of information on how people make their Talon costumes so I figured it was time to do so myself. I have been holding back because I have not had a chance to wear the finished costume, or close to finshed for some detailed photos. So there are a few “I intend to do X” patches. But still tomorrow I hope to have it in place. Even if I have some specific recipes I haven’t shared I will eventually also have my patterns up and ready to print as well as a better painting guide 🙂

So overly committed but I shall delegate! All the delegation for people who know what to do and where 9tech, wrangling, etc etc)
But on to my own costuming.. I am totally lost as to what to wear. I desperately want to make Madam Vastra but I already have Nyreen Started… I’d love to finish my Think of Me gown as a big princess sparkly costume, but the masquerade is the night before the contest and that is just a big no. So it might be for the contest… if there is a Mass Effect group planned for the contest day at the least anyway. If no group I may wear Nyreen.
But Vastra… I could get away with my Wishing gown as another dress in her wardrobe (it’s similar ish to her hardly seen polonaise.)
And there is Talon. Really want to wear her properly too. Time to finish most of these projects given the stages they are at. But which ones? There is the Melbourne as well as the Auckland show. For Melbourne perhaps Nyreen? Possible to wear both days given the lack of much body painting.
