I had waited to hear back about whether I would be accepted for a conference before getting one of my papers about Anne of Cleves published online. It hasn’t but it’s not unexpected. I’m not an academic, I’ve not been able to network for my peers to get to know me, and there has been a lot published about her in the last decade. But not from my vantage point.
I’ve had to build databases that have never been done, but because I’ve and made them freely available it looks like it was always there. Always obvious. Yet I’ve been able to better date many images and it’s from that vantage point.
So I get it.
And it means I will be able to publish earlier, so I can get the other essays up in a similar format.
