Sorry for the tweet detours :/ I still haven't gotten my site unblocked or looked in to it to be honest. I tried to back up my lj to my website, so I could get all those handy SCA references easily searchable, and nope. I'll be doing a month by month export next month though as ther eis a renewed interest in Cleves stuff, and my pictures have been used- but not my site because yey SEO takeover… anyway..
MALEFICENT BIRD SKULL AND DAGGER
I may need to sand the dagger but I’ve sculpted striations in the blade so I can do a wash with burnt umber-sienna mix. But I love my bird skull!
It’s been a while since I tried doing anything realistic and still moldable 
but this way I can make both ring and brooch light and durable.
I also got these encased in silicon as well as molded the wing stumps and half the ears.
My nose bump has gone walkabout so I’ll want to cast ears, nose, and cheeks in one go once I get some new pigments.
My ruffle collar is really long once unfolded so I will have to hunt for something new to cut them from.

MALEFICENT TEST TAKE MANY-LOTS
I have to do a lunge to fit in the mirror and no selfie actually shows them to full effect.
These are huge horns. I love them. So much.
I also have a pair of tight pants and the start of a fitted tunic. But I have my wrists splinting on again.

Patterns! Well the start of them. Ruffles are for the outer collar. I put my masking tape outside so have to wait.
Horn helmet! The base. Foam, neoprene alternative and hair canvas under felt. I’ll need to fix the horns before really getting this to shape. Luckily lots of elastic is suddenly available from my stash!
Boots! And leather bits. Very unexciting photo.
Foamex to make the bone dagger, PVC weld to laminate the foamex to whittle to shape. Card to pattern the inner collar.
Very exciting I know. Oh and a list under there.
EARS AND WING STUMPS, CRY
The ears are supported and walled and the wing stumps need some final texture. The ears will be cast in silicone and the stumps urethane. The stumps will need to be carefully brushed in so the feather edge is black and the rest transluscent scar tissue.
