I am indeed the Champion of the World. I need to do this again with slightly different proportions as I used “follow me” instead of extrude and that made for a few interesting hiccoughs. But I think this is a really good way to end the day. Oh and full credit:
I am using the 30 day free trial of Sketch Up and I specifically installed the Shape Bender and Weld extensions. With these I am seriously looking at buying the full version of SU to make all the lightsaber and props I’d otherwise have fibreglassed.
Okay, so I am jumping the gun hugely here, but the extensions really do make this a really functional program. The only issue, and it’s all to do with working with a 2D monitor/space to make 3D objects is getting the mouse to put things where you want them. But yeah, massive breakthrough today
